The Legend of the Bottomless Pit

On a hill named Boerie, situated near Bucium village, there is a pit of which it’s said to be bottomless. Currently the ground around the pit remains humid, although it doesn’t contain any water. The village elders say that sometime in the past, a voice was heard from inside the pit that said :

“Ceasul a sosit și omul meu nu a venit” – Meaning “The time is now and my man hasn’t arrived”

In that moment, a horse-drawn carriage appeared out of nowhere, and didn’t stop until it fell into the pit sinking.

Since that time, the place was named The Bottomless Pit, and the story became well known by all the village elders, who are rewarding the curiosity of all the people who visit, by sharing it in the Transylvania hotels area.
