The following legends started in a greatly historical and spiritual area located in Hunedoara County, Or\u0103\u015ftie Mountains region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A lot of visitors come to see the places where, a long time ago, the legends and customs were born \u2013 some still practiced even today, places near <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pensiuneacotiso.ro\/en\/\">Sarmizegetusa<\/a> Regia. And so, they hear the legend of the werewolf, the legend of S\u00e2ntoader\u2019s horses, the legend of the bottomless pit, the fortune telling custom and the story of Inat, the plagues shirt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Legend of the Bottomless Pit<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>On a hill named Boerie, situated near Bucium village, there is a pit of which it\u2019s said to be bottomless. Currently the ground around the pit remains humid, although it doesn\u2019t contain any water. The village elders say that sometime in the past, a voice was heard from inside the pit that said :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Ceasul a sosit \u0219i omul meu nu a venit&#8221; \u2013 Meaning &#8220;The time is now and my man hasn\u2019t arrived&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In that moment, a horse-drawn carriage appeared out of nowhere, and didn\u2019t stop until it fell into the pit sinking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since that time, the place was named The Bottomless Pit, and the story became well known by all the village elders, who are rewarding the curiosity of all the people who visit, by sharing it in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pensiuneacotiso.ro\/en\/\">Transylvania hotels<\/a> area.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Villagers used to be guided by nature and, because of that, most of the Romanian writers included different traditional themes and topics in their work.
